Community Programs

Overview

Our programs service a wide range of communities – Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD), Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI), youth, justice, and drug & alcohol.

CALD communities

Through our work with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Communities, Hepatitis Victoria aims to improve knowledge and access to health information and specialist support services for treatment, as well as to reduce stigma.

Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander (ATSI)

We collaborate with Aboriginal Communities to Improve access to health information about viral hepatitis and liver health for Aboriginal communities.

Justice

People in custody are at higher risk of viral hepatitis than the greater community. LiverWELL incorporating Hepatitis Victoria has been delivering programs in Victorian prisons since 1998.

Drug & Alcohol

People who use drugs can be at risk of viral hepatitis and associated health outcomes. Alcohol related liver disease is also a growing health risk among the Australian population. HEPVIC offer a number of free information sessions.

StreetShot

StreetShot is an interactive program open to Independent young people and Education institutions for young people to learn about risk factors for viral hepatitis and how they can keep themselves safe.
