Tuyet NHAN

Volunteer of the Month, June 2020

About me

My name is Tuyet, I have been in Australia for 6.5 years. I studied English at Victoria University and I work park time at a Nail salon.

What tips do I have for new volunteers?

I have always wanted to volunteer in any kind of fields however I didn’t have the chance to do it.

Volunteering is a way expressing gratitude towards a community.

What inspired me to become a Hepatitis Victoria volunteer?

I want to help Vietnamese people and everyone else in Australia to know more about hepatitis B prevention and treatment.

In 2017. I participated Volunteer Training Course at Jesuit Social at Flemington. In that course I met Ms Lien , she told about Hepatitis and she said to me if I interested to be come volunteer at Hepatitis they have training on October 2017

One of your favorite Hepatitis Victoria sessions or moments.

All sessions I volunteered at I found to be interesting and encouraging.

What tips do I have for new volunteers?

When do you go to festivals for work you need to bring hat, sunglasses and umbrella.
